My Choirs

I lead a number of community choirs in and around Greater Manchester. There are no auditions and you don’t need to be able to read music, as everything is taught by ear. Click on the following links to find more information, or just get in touch if you have any questions. I would love to meet you and sing with you!

Manchester Community Choir

One of Manchester’s longest running community choirs, I took up the Musical Director post in September 2019. With around 80 singers, this is a friendly and welcoming group. We meet three times a month on a Sunday/Monday. See our website for details.

Golden Voices

Wednesdays, 10:30am – 12:30 at the legendary venue, Band on the Wall. Term time only. This friendly choir is open to anyone over the age of 50. We have around 30-35 members. We perform regularly and rehearsals are always great fun (and there’s tea and biscuits!). For more info visit our website.

Woodlarks

Thursdays, 1:30 – 3:30pm

Woodley Methodist Church, Chapel Street, Woodley. SK6 1NF

We are a friendly, mixed harmony singing group of around 20 members, that meets every week near Stockport. Everyone is welcome and we are always open to new members. We are a non-peforming group – the emphasis is firmly on FUN! See our website for more information or contact me. We are also on facebook.

New Mills U3A Singing for Fun

1st Monday of the month, 1:15pm

A monthly singing workshop in a beautiful space in New Mills, in the High Peak. We are a mixed group of around 30 singers. Full details can be found on the U3A website.

Rossendale Memory Choir

A welcoming singing group for people living with dementia and their carers. Kay Street Baptist Church, Rawtenstall. BB4 7LS. This is a very welcoming and inclusive group of around 30 people, co-ordinated by a wonderful group of volunteers. I lead alternate sessions with Ryan Dixon. We sing lots of fun sing-along songs with guitar/ukulele, plus a whole range of simple songs from different musical styles. Find us on facebook or contact me for more information.
